Today most people live in small nuclear family, and many wives work outside the home. This situation has led to a latchkey kid phenomenon. After school, children go home to an empty house with both their parents gone. It is feared that kids with career moms are lonelier than those from large families, and that they have more trouble adapting to the society.

In my situation, I make it a point that I make rules like ” Reward and Punishments” for my kids. When my children have done good things, I make it a point that they will be rewarded so that they will not think that they are alone and not given attention by me and my wife.
